Without a concrete date set, CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer of German luxury car maker, Bentley, confirmed rumors of an SUV in the making. This new development comes as no surprise with the existing competitive luxury SUV market. With BMW, Lexus, Range Rover, Audi, and Mercedes all optioning luxury SUVs, it was only a matter of time before Bentley joined the ranks. The future Porsche  Cayenne will mirror the Bentley SUV sprouting the latest in auto-technology, but to prevent rivalry, Bentley will jump up a price point, adding more of a luxury feel, rather than sport utility.

Adding to the Olsen twin’s already established clothing brand, a nine-piece handbag line will grace the shelves of Barney’s, New York, in August. Complete with a doctor bag, day tote, shoulder bag and backpack, the 25-year old fashion team aspired to balance new ideas with previously recycled trends of the past. Ashley explains,” There are important style contributions from almost every era. Drawing on the right references at the right time is the key.” Addressing the ever-repetitive market, Mary-Kate comments “My problem is not with the trends themselves, but the fact that trends are constantly repeating themselves.” With both inspirational attributes set, Averyl Oates, buying director for Harvey Nichols, attributes the ever-growing success of The Row (Mary-Kate and Ashley’s line) to the “timeless generational appeal while still remaining directional.”

Harptree Bed and Breakfast owners Linda and Charles Hill transformed a fraction of their acreage into a luxury camping experience for even the most skeptic of outdoor sleeping. The main house b&b, tucked away in Somerset’s Mendip Hills, has a cozy, relaxed, country feel, complete with homemade cooking and baked goods.

When deciding to upgrade the camping experience, Linda and Charles kept with their traditional style and furnished the canvas tents with antiques, tea lights, a wood burning stove, Persian rugs, a Chesterfield sofa, and even a dishwasher… A separate bedroom features a king-size walnut bed and a fully functional bathroom with a soaking tub.

Apart from the quaint canvas housing, the full property is open to guests; with 17 acres to roam, visitors will stumble upon walled kitchen gardens, a tennis court, tree house with wraparound balcony, and scenic walk through Chew Valley.  As one of the most expensive tent camping properties in the UK, a three-night getaway will run at £525 ($838).

Designer of  ‘Naked Garden’ at the Anglican Home Improvements exhibit, David Domoney, grew the $637 salad contents soil-free in Holland.  The lettuce and tomatoes were grown in clear containers with a special water solution and a revolutionary “technology of aquatic culture that creates plants with exposed roots”, explained David. The exhibit boasts many different kinds of specially grown plants that carry astounding price tags, for example the $479 dollar lettuce. When asked about the Duchess of Cornwall’s reaction to the plant show and world’s most expensive salad, he responded saying “Camilla was thrilled to see all the plants on display which are incredibly expensive because they are grown hydroponically. They are grown without soil and water and nutrients are sprayed direct to the roots. But this also means that the plants on display are all kept alive right till the point they are put in the salad so this is the freshest green salad you will ever eat.”

Not much is known about the buyer-other than his serial luxury vehicle buying- this installment puts his collection in around the 200s. To make this Bugatti L’Or Blanc extra special, the luxury carmaker went outside the box and enlisted the services of KPM, a German porcelain producer to create custom décor for the car’s exterior. The white shell and royal blue lined body is ornamented with porcelain fuel caps, wheel badges and oil caps.

Stefan Brungs, Chief of sales at Bugatti, says “Installing porcelain in the world’s fastest convertible car seems like a pretty odd idea… but Bugatti has made a name for itself by not shying away from the extravagant ideas.” Doing so has obviously paid off, considering that pre- L’Or Blanc, the Bugatti 300 Veyron 16.4s was the world’s most expensive car, priced at $1.74 million.

With a wide range price tag between $79,990 and $104,490, Range Rover’s new Evoque allows customers to mold their vehicles to their exact specifications. Complete with an array of options, consumers can tack on between an extra $5,750 and $9,260 on everything from body styles and engine capabilities, to wheel designs and glass roofs.

Available in two and four-wheel drive versions, three and five door body styles, and petrol or diesel engine capabilities, Range Rover wanted to allot their patrons the same environmental friendly capabilities as a common coupe.  Director of programs at parent company, Land Rover, Murry Dietsch said, “We have combined state-of-the-art powertrains with a lightweight body shell and a range of low-carbon technologies to deliver fuel efficiency, which is outstanding for a premium SUV.” Similar to Ford’s Ecoboost, the Evoque houses two turbocharged diesels and a petrol unit (in manual or automatic) which produces 110kW or 140kW, reaching up to 400NM of torque.

Not only is the newest Range Rover within the environmental guidelines, but they stuck to their luxury reputation and included an extraordinary amount of comfort and entertainment possibilities. The three main design themes, Pure, Dynamic and Prestige, all include different accessories, styling and equipment packs. 16 different interiors, seven alloy wheel designs, a panoramic glass roof and several stereo and video packages are naming just a few customizations that leave Evoque’s styling with endless possibilities.
