It’s all about the khaki on Sunday June 20th as Salvatore Ferragamo’s Menswear Spring/Summer 2011 collection hits the runway of Milan’s Menswear Fashion Week. Nearly all of his looks incorporated some form of khaki with a bolder, masculine color accompanying. Slouchy suits, cuffed capri pants and shorter shorts embody all that is loved in Italian menswear. Loosely fitting pants with tailored blazers and sandals could be viewed as trendy work attire while holding a purpose of looking professional and accommodating for warm, summer weather. Another aspect of sexy functionality Ferragamo crept into his well-executed show were the many different outerwear options. Including several different blazers, an oversized open-front cream knit cardigan, a tailored button-up, front-pocketed day coat, and even a knee length khaki with white trimmed trench, Ferragamo left nothing out of what a man’s wardrobe should need.
