Mostly dark earth tones, loose silhouettes, wash-and-wear fabrics and touches of plaid made up the John Varvatos Spring/Summer 2011 menswear collection. Showing in Milan earlier today, the array of clothing didn’t offer much imagination or originality. As seen in many shows past, he follows the quarter length sleeve jacket trend, loose scarves around the neck, and a full suit of plaid. Nothing too negative can be said; all could be worn for functionality with a slouchy ‘I don’t care’ style, leaving show viewers content, but not overwhelmed.
