Carlos Miele’s 2010 resort collection lacks originality but sustains a sophisticated evening wear appeal. Mixing longer, Greek goddess inspired gowns with shorter, almost biker-like short dresses envelopes two different selling markets but leaves the collection without a sharing characteristic. Not even holding a color scheme together, these two different ideas mix, but do not match.
Of the longer genre, several stand out as extraordinary; a draped silk and chiffon with an overlaying of chains on the bodice was an elegant cohesion of soft materials and tough embellishments. Another strapless charcoal grey gown with an accordion folded skirt and asymmetrical boning framed the models shoulders and curves leaving her perfectly elegant and sexy with no need to accessorize.
The shorter dresses used a lot of rouching, random beading, odd boning and tough materials, leaning a little more Jenny from the block and less glamour in comparison to the other pieces.
