New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will be taking over Manhattan February 11- 18. Designers, models, photographers and fans will be crowding around Bryant Park with excitement and one common love, fashion. Designers are nervous with anticipation of the reviews written almost immediately after the last model has strutted off the runway. Will their vision seep through into the minds of the drunk with power writers who hold infinite power over their careers? Will the chosen faces and bodies representing each garment be accepted as matched properly? Once described as “hangers walking down the runway” by Karl Lagerfeld, the models are pressured to be at their thinnest, have energy, sparkle and most importantly, put on an incredible, memorable show. Don’t trip! Tickets to the main tents at Bryant Park are coveted, exclusive and rather hard to come by. Celebrities, socialites and elite fashion executives are the general crowd encompassing the audience of the runway.
Photographers sit at the end of the runway, more than just snapping photos, they capture the essence of the collection and share it with the rest of the world, wishing that one day they too will be a part of the few magical moments of a runway show. Under this category, you will see hanging around the tents, tourists from all over the world, fashion students, and fans. Cameras in hand, rising at the crack of dawn, bundled up with gloves, scarfs and hot coco, these people are the heart of Bryant Park. Passion brings them loitering around the security infused tents with hopes of seeing any canvas bag holding accessories that might walk down the powerful, white catwalk. In this small square of Manhattan, during this particular week, a covered clothes rack is more than a clothes rack. It’s a secret only a small, exclusive society of people, sworn to secrecy, have had the privilege to preview. And in just hours, minutes, seconds, it will be exposed and become vulnerable to the scrutiny of the entire world. A picture of a covered clothes rack pushed by a man with crazy hair and black, skinny jeans means nothing. A picture of a covered clothes rack pushed by a man with crazy hair and black, skinny jeans up the steps of Bryant Park during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week is a dream about to be unveiled for the world to judge. Excited? I am.

“Well, it looks as though you have caught the authentic substance of the situation at hand. While many another seem to have dropped the central detail of the whole thing, when it was submitted above is lucid and on the money. Clearly I don”"t saying that I harmonise along every one of the points; nevertheless, I must say that you managed to have presented me reason to reconsider several of the concepts that I imagined that I withstood as determined beliefs in that attentivenesses. Strongly expressed, and time for myself to think a some more connected to a couple of your most important concepts. In summary, I would have to say you’ve done an excellant job.”
