balenciagacolortrends2010 Spring Brightness Pops Through Monochromatic Color Schemes Geminis will appreciate this trend above all others. Multiple personalities will be well represented with dull grays, blacks, tans, and creams dominating collections; then, when you least expect it, fun, illuminating colors are thrown in, adding the perfect touch of youth and flavor.  Work, school, happy hour,  this color pallet can handle it all with classy, sophisticated  perfection.

Milan Fashion Week: Cavalli Menswear Fall 2010

Posted by Kelly Fritz On January - 21 - 2010

cavallimen2010 Milan Fashion Week: Cavalli Menswear Fall 2010Roberto Cavalli has engineered a perfectly balanced, tailored line. Looks ranging from street wear plaid and fur-trimmed hoods to fitted, thin blazers and pants. Reflecting the color schemes of the Spring 2010 lines, monochromatic colors kept a masculine feel while allowing touches of color to peek through jackets or show up on a plaid pant or sweatshirt. The overall look of the line was a little boyish and reminiscent of a tailored version of the 1970s.

Spring 2010 Trends: HOTT Pants

Posted by Kelly Fritz On January - 20 - 2010

carlosmieleHOTPANTS e1264019422371 Spring 2010 Trends: HOTT PantsInvesting in a treadmill, elliptical trainer or gym membership may be in store for the fashionistas around the world, as this spring doesn’t leave much to the imagination when it comes to shorts length. Bad economy: less fabric? Cause: effect? Who knows the reasons, but it is what is. Pull out the yoga pants and strap on those sports bras, it’s gonna be a HOT one.

Milan Fashion Week- Versace Menswear Fall 2010

Posted by Kelly Fritz On January - 20 - 2010

versacemens2010 Milan Fashion Week Versace Menswear Fall 2010Leave it Donatella to stick out amongst the Italian shows this week. Retro chic as taken over fashion shows in Milan, but Donatella decided to veer to the opposite direction, the future. Space-man warrior stomping through a sea of strobe lit technical designs projected all but normality in the Fall Menswear 2010 lines. Tailored suits with leather touches scream power and sophistication while obtaining a sexy European rocker vibe.  Club wear dominated much of this line; producing sleeveless tanks splashed with neon colors, mesh tanks and metallic jackets. Post-show, Donatella comments, “its technological, but fun”.

Spring 2010 Trends: Prints

Posted by Kelly Fritz On January - 20 - 2010

Spring brings beautiful sunshine, green leaves, and flowers so bright they uplift your spirits. Designers have decided to change the atmosphere of the world, one printed legging, skirt, dress, pantsuit and shoe at a time. Eccentric colored lines tangled together, geometric shapes in no particular placement, and the obvious, floral patterns bring the delight of spring right into our closets.

Mobile Winter

Posted by Kelly Fritz On January - 20 - 2010

leather fingerless gloves Mobile WinterSnowy winter weather looks whimsical framed by a window, but when it comes to walking outside, the cold air is far from enjoyable. Hats, gloves, scarves and heavy coats bundle up and protect us from the frigid, skin-drying-out cold.  But what happens when your mobile phone rings, a txt comes in or you forgot to send an important email for work? The gloves come off, the fingers freeze and you risk your health to be free to hit those little blackberry buttons and stay connected to the world. Fingerless gloves can break down the communication barrier while keeping you warm enough to skip out on the annual cold that never seems to fully go away. These black leather gloves can look great and keep you healthy, available at American Retro for $312.
