For Burberry lover’s the world over, here’s some good news to brighten your day- The luxury iconic fashion brand Burberry is in the process of setting up a Facebook style site to help grow it’s relationship with you the customer.
The site will be called artofthetrench.com. When it first opens the idea is that visitors to the site will post photos of themselves wearing Burberry’s trademark trenchcoats. Click here to go to the site now and register for updates.
The iconic fashion brand is no stranger to social media, Burberry have been at the cutting edge for sometime and in fact their Facebook page has over 660,000 fans which is the biggest Facebook following of any luxury brand.
To give the Burberry social networking site some cool cat street cred Christopher Bailey who’s the Creative Director of the iconic British fashion brand has called in photographer Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist. Schuman will be taking pictures on the streets of people he sees wearing their Burberry trenchcoats with style.
The Chief Executive of Burberry, Angela Ahrendts, told The Financial Times “These might not even be customers yet. Or they may be a customer for a bottle of fragrance or for eyewear. But these are the customers who need the brand experience, who need to feel the brand. That word-of-mouth spreads through their social networks and continues to be a positive conversation. . . that is so powerful.”
