Excitingly Chrsitie’s are holding another one of their hugely popular Chrsitie’s Interiors auctions next week (Tuesday 15th September) in South Kensington,London.

Here are my top lots to look out for. Remember you can now bid online through the Christie’s website so if you have interest in an item click the link to go directly to the item page:

French gilt-bronze candlesticks ChristiesFirst is this pair of French gilt-bronze candlesticks. They were made in the late 19th Century and would add a wonderful touch of decadence to any dinning table at home. The estimate on this lot is £400-£600 but they could go for even more if someone with the funds takes a real shine to them.

Next is this beautiful French Art Deco Silver and Enamel Dressing Table Set comprising of 2 hair brushes, 2 clothes brushes, hand mirror and 3 glass bottles with removable tops.

Made in the 1930’s the whole set is co-ordinated with the same red and black motif on all the items. The case is made from leather and the lining is pink velvet and silk. Estimate, £1,500-£2,500.

Lastly is a painting by Hugh de Twenebrokes Glazebrook titled ‘Portrait of Mrs Haslam’.

It is oil on canvas and 50 x 40inches in size. This artist painted from 1855-1937 but it looks by the clothes in the painting like this was painted towards the earlier half of that date estimate. This lot is expected to sell for £1,200-£1,800.
