This season, Gucci has combined its menswear and womenswear collections, encapsulated in a series of photographs shot by the renowned duo Inez and Vinoodh. Crowded shots featuring androgynous models of both sexes prevail, showing off a range of eclectic poses.
The fashion powerhouse has chosen a more rock-inspired look, as seems to be on the cards for many designers this season. Leather is huge for the fall/winter campaign, be it in jackets, trousers, shoes or bags.
Along with leather, Gucci opts for the other big trend of the season: animal print. Blue leopard print shimmers throughout and slick snakeskin is another popular look.
The colour palette is dark, and black is once again the new black – unless it happens to be electric blue, the only other colour to make any impact. This bold shade pops out of every photograph, but is mostly confined to the womenswear collection.
The overall look is tailored and sharp, yet effortlessly sexy.
