BMW and Toyota’s Lexus have indicated that sales have fallen at a lesser rate than the previous month in the US. Both BMW and Lexus are recognised as two of America’s leading brands. Both carmakers have sold just over 16,000 cars in June reducing the drop in sales in 2009 to just over 20 per cent.
Mercedes-Benz reported a 23 per cent drop compared to its 31% fall in May.
Ford’s Lincoln and Nissan’s Infiniti are down 27 per cent and 32 per cent respectively.
The reduction in the fall in car prices indicates a slight recovery in the luxury automotive market.
